Deadlines:
- Registration forms due: November 15, 2013
- Participants submit class winner to local council vice president: February 14, 2014
- Local Council winners due for state judging: March 4, 2014
- State winners announced: March 17, 2014
- State winners invited to awards ceremony at spring NDRA conference: April 5, 2014
Here are the guidelines as broken down by grade:
Kindergarten & 1st Grade: I Won the Gold Medal
2nd & 3rd Grade: O is for Olympics
4th & 5th Grade: Olympic Reporting
6th thru 8th Grade: Poetry in Motion
9th thru 12th Grade: Olympic Anthem

Red River Valley Writing Project
The RRVWP, a local site of the National Writing Project, brings together teachers in eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota to learn about the teaching of writing.
National Writing Project
The NWP is a network of sites anchored at colleges and universities and serving teachers across disciplines and at all levels, early childhood through university. They provide professional development, develop resources, generate research, and act on knowledge to improve the teaching of writing and learning in schools and communities.
